Michael set to work designing and building five one-bedroom villas, each perfect for couples seeking a retreat. Meanwhile, Vera poured her creativity into cultivating lush tropical gardens that envelop the property in a verdant embrace.

1770 Getaway quickly became more than just a business; it was a dream brought to life. Visitors could feel the difference, walking into a place born from passion and care, a place they would want to return to time and again.

Set on four acres of lush tropical gardens and just a few minutes walk from pristine beaches, 1770 Getaway offers an idyllic escape. For many years, it also boasted a beloved café run by the next generation of the Ferinac family—Elvis and his wife, Carla. Known as Agnes Water’s best-kept secret, the café thrived on word-of-mouth praise, offering delicious meals, exceptional coffee, and a warm atmosphere that made it a local favourite. However, in 2023, the café closed its doors as the family chose to prioritise more personal time together. The closure marked the end of an era, met with an outpouring of love and nostalgia from the community.

Yet, 1770 Getaway continues to evolve under the loving stewardship of the Ferinac family. Over the past year, it has transformed into a vibrant community hub, hosting a variety of small businesses. The market days are particularly special, featuring organic produce, local artisans, bakers, and activities for kids, all set to the backdrop of live music. It’s the perfect spot to lay down a picnic blanket and enjoy a day with family and friends.
